The 2006 Skeena River Relay

Another great day on the river - despite an early start and an uphill run. The run was hard - as usual I was underprepared, but once I finished, the glow began and now, a whole day and a half later, I even feel quite good about it. After that I worked one of the stages with Paul and Erin which was interesting. I really, really appreciate the many, many friends, colleagues and students who helped out. I know it is not always everyone's idea of a great way to spend a day. In fact, the whole thing can be downright irritating. However, once again people stepped forward and made this a great day for the runners. Thanks everyone - you know who you are.

Yes, I found it very ... interesting ... too ;-)

Maybe next year you can take me training and I can do the running thing too.

I guess your being an "animated leader" it is only fitting that everyone runs behind you. But are they really chasing you with pitchforks???

It is no problem to volunteer. I have increased your hours at our hockey tournaments though. Hah Kidding.
Next year no speeding for me.
